Most can identify the difference between the cheapest of wines at a couple dollars a bottle and, say, a $20 or $30 bottle, as soon as you start to go much above that, we mere mortals tend to be able to differentiate the two with about the same accuracy you’d expect in predicting the results of a coin flip.
